The RSPCA South Coast Million Paws Walk on Sunday 24th May is sure to be a fantastic day out for all of the family, including the four legged variety!

Funds raised through entry fees and the sale of merchandise help assist the RSPCA to operate its animal shelters and branches, support its Inspectorate services and provide community education on animal welfare issues. The main purpose of the event is raising funds, and with over 144,000 animals finding shelter at the RSPCA annually, every dollar counts. Each year, the RSPCA in Australia also investigates more than 43,000 complaints of animal cruelty and neglect.

Join in on the South Coast at White Sands Park at Huskisson - apart from the official 2.5km or 5km walk with your pet, planned activities include Vet checks; discounted microchipping service; RSPCA merchandise stall; Monster Raffle kindly donated by Jervis Bay Chamber of Commerce (“JBCC”); BBQ and food stalls; childrens Rides; and lots of Pet Competitions.

And afterwards, visit the Currambene Street markets where there will be entertainment for the kids and a choice of local products.

This is the only RSPCA Million Paws Walk event being held on the South Coast – Shoalhaven RSPCA Branches support an area from Nowra to as far south as Moruya.

There is a fancy dress theme for the day and prizes for the best dressed. You don't need to have a pet or dog to join in - just come along and enjoy a day out with the family whilst supporting the RSPCA!

Registration from 8:30am, walk starts at 10:30am, followed by pet competitions and lots of activities in White Sand Park and Huskisson township. Cost: Adult - $10; Children (under 16) - $5; Family (2 adults, 2 children) - $22; Concession - $5.
